Author Guidelines

Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting your manuscript to the International Journal of Quantum Computing and Innovations (IJQCI).

1. Manuscript Types

  • Research Articles: Original, significant research. Max 8,000 words (excluding references).
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of recent developments. Max 10,000 words.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of significant new findings. Max 3,000 words.
  • Technical Notes: Detailed descriptions of new methods, tools, or software. Max 4,000 words.

2. Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts must be submitted in English. Format your text in a standard font (Times New Roman or Arial, 11–12pt) with double spacing and 2.5 cm margins.

The manuscript must be structured as follows:

  • Title Page: Title, all author names with affiliations, corresponding author's email, and ORCID iDs.
  • Structured Abstract: Max 250 words. Must use the 5-section format described below.
  • Keywords: 5–8 keywords separated by semicolons.
  • Introduction: Background, literature review, research gap, and objectives.
  • Methodology: Detailed description of experimental setup, algorithms, or theoretical frameworks. Must be reproducible.
  • Results: Clear presentation of findings using tables and figures where appropriate.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results and significance to the field.
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and future research directions.
  • Declarations: Funding sources, conflict of interest, data availability, author contributions (CRediT).
  • References: IEEE citation style. Minimum 20 references for research articles.

3. Structured Abstract Format (Required)

IJQCI requires a structured abstract of no more than 250 words for all research and review articles. The abstract must use the following 5-section headings in order:

Background / Introduction: Briefly state the context and motivation for the study. What is the problem being addressed?

Objectives: State the specific research objectives or hypotheses of the work.

Methods: Describe the main approaches, algorithms, datasets, or experimental frameworks used.

Results: Summarize the key findings and quantitative outcomes where applicable.
5
Conclusions: State the main conclusions and the significance of the findings to the research community.

Note: Abstracts that do not follow the structured format will be returned to authors for revision before entering peer review. Do not include citations, figures, or acronyms (unless defined) in the abstract.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

IJQCI uses a Double-Blind Peer Review process. Authors must ensure the main manuscript file contains no identifying information.

Anonymization Rules

  • Remove author names and affiliations from the manuscript text and file metadata.
  • When citing your own prior work, use third person ("As Smith et al. demonstrated..." not "As we demonstrated...").
  • Omit funding acknowledgements from the initial submission (provide them in the online form instead).
  • Remove any self-identifying acknowledgements or project grant details from the manuscript body.

5. ORCID iDs & Author Contributions

ORCIDORCID iD (Recommended)

All authors are strongly encouraged to register an ORCID iD and include it in their submission. ORCID iDs help prevent author disambiguation errors in indexing databases. Register free at orcid.org.

CRediT Author Contributions (Required)

All papers with multiple authors must include a CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) statement specifying each author's contribution (e.g., Conceptualization, Methodology, Writing – Original Draft, Supervision). AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

APC covers: peer review coordination, editorial processing, DOI registration, digital archiving, and Open Access hosting. Physical hard copies and printed author certificates are available upon request with additional delivery charges. Contact editor@ijqci.org for waiver requests.

Issues are published on the 30th of each month. IJQCI is a monthly journal (12 issues/year).

8. Language, Plagiarism & Ethics

  • All manuscripts must be submitted in clear, academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek professional proofreading before submission.
  • Similarity index must be below 15% (excluding references). Manuscripts above this threshold are rejected without review.
  • By submitting, authors confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review at another journal simultaneously.
  • Authors must disclose all funding sources and conflicts of interest.
  • The use of AI writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT) must be disclosed in the Methods section. AI may not be listed as an author.
